The use of Technologies by students and teachers has been recognized for its ability to make
the learning process more participatory and integrated, allowing a high degree of interactivity.
Encouraging the use of digital applications by students has the potential to create
environments that encourage the construction of knowledge by students, often being a more
attractive way of learning. In this context, the use of electronic spreadsheets has been
increasingly adopted in the academic training process of Nutrition students. The present study
aimed to develop an electronic spreadsheet for menu planning for healthy adults in the adult
age group. The spreadsheet was developed in Microsoft Excel® 2019 software and was
composed of seven tabs: “average VET calculation” tab, “ENERGY DATA”, “MENU”,
“NDPCAL”, “HOME MEASUREMENTS”, “FOOD BANK”, containing foods from
databases (TACO, POF, TBCA), totaling more than 8,000 foods, Tab with shopping list and
NPCAL%. The spreadsheet represents a practical and free tool for preparing and analyzing
diets. It was designed to allow the recording and tracking of information relevant to the
professional practice of nutritionists, including patient data, eating plans and nutritional
analyses. Although there was no classroom testing of the finished spreadsheet or experience
in clinical nutrition, the spreadsheet was developed based on solid theoretical knowledge and
consultation with professionals in the field. The practical application of the spreadsheet can
benefit nutritionists by facilitating the organization and analysis of data, contributing to the
improvement of the services provided.
