Resumo:
The article sets out to examine and analyze cases of domestic violence within the
family, focusing on the "Papa" and "Mutirão" communities in Monteiro-Pb. And to
explain why victims who suffer from physical and psychological aggression are still
living with their aggressors, who are usually their husbands or people with ties, as
mentioned above. In order to do this, we need to understand what traps them in violent
relationships, what obstacles and difficulties they face in their daily lives and how this
affects the entire family structure. In order to carry out this analysis, some interviews
were conducted with women living in the respective neighborhoods and with other
women so that I could form something concrete about these questions. That's why I'm
starting from the point of view that not only do women suffer aggression, but they
continue to do so with their husbands, because during these conversations with the
women, when asked if they suffer any kind of violence, they said that they do, from
psychological violence, with verbal aggression, insults, offenses, fights without reason
to control over women from their social networks to their clothing, having to conform to
the standard that their spouse wants.
