Resumen:
The National Institute of Industrial Property plays a strategic role in our country, as it is responsible for guaranteeing
rights related to intellectual property, in addition to disseminating innovation. The study essentially consisted of
collecting data in Industrial Property Magazines published between the years 2019 (pre-pandemic) and 2020
(pandemic), with the objective of raising the amount of approvals, denials and opposition publications of the
registration of trademarks, seeking to evidence, whether or not there was a sudden interruption of the work of the
examiners, as well as, it sought to gather information on the data related to the trademark processes of some world
offices, making a comparison between the performance of these departments with the INPI. We conclude that the
Brazilian office maintained significant numbers in its operations, demonstrating the ability to adapt, the effectiveness
of the measures taken and the performance of its agents.
