With the objective of evaluating the institutional communication process in the Municipal Secretariat of
Administration of Sousa-PB City Hall, the study addresses the communication process institution of the Municipal Administration Secretariat of Sousa City Hall, classified as applied, exploratory and descriptive research. Using a qualitative and documentary methodology, focused on the analysis of the Citizen Information System (SIC) implemented in the city hall. The research involved observing service records of the SIC from 2020 to 2022. The results of the survey on service at the Secretariat of
Administration of Sousa City Hall reveal the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on demand patterns for administrative services. When analyzing services during the period, significant monthly variations are observed, with peaks during periods of restrictions. O progressive increase in services over the years indicates a growing demand for information, influenced by the socioeconomic context and government policies. In 2022, there was a significant increase followed by a drop, reflecting the sensitivity of the service to external conditions, especially social distancing measures. The analysis of the communication at the Sousa Administration Secretariat highlights the need for management systematic and effective. The variety of channels offers opportunities but also challenges to coordination. These conclusions are fundamental to improving public management, promoting transparency and efficiency. However, the need for future research is recognized to better understand the interaction of citizens with the city hall, aiming for continuous improvements in institutional communication to benefit the community and public management.
