Abstract:
The present work aims to reflect on the importance of the Social Worker in basic public education and understand the limits that appear in this space and the possibilities of cooperating with the implementation of quality, universal, secular and public education. . Addressing what relevance this professional brings to this space of insertion in Education. Considering education in its range of complex dimensions that builds the social being inside and outside the school. The historical-dialectical materialist method was used, because there is no way to understand education with its contradictions imposed by the capitalist system and the correlation of force existing in it without going through the understanding of reality and achieving the purpose of the research with the objectives. A reflective analysis was carried out within social research and using the bibliographic method with an approach and basis in the respective qualitative research, in this way we will have the probability of developing the research and obtaining the results. The research results demonstrate that the role of the social worker in basic education is very relevant, necessary and indispensable, because it corresponds to the user's needs in breadth, beyond the school space, making him develop by building a conception of education criticism, through a broad view of the reality that surrounds it and its construction as a subject. In this way, Social Service contributes to basic education in the early stages of children and adolescents, favoring their construction process, through integral development that corresponds to the social, physical, cognitive and emotional aspects.
