To this end, the research is restricted to academic production in education in national journals A1, A2, A3, A4, B1 and B2 in the period 2017-2022. In accordance with the list generated by CAPES, 2017-2020, we carried out a search on the websites of the aforementioned journals and also in indexed databases, such as SciELO, using the following descriptors: 'Pedagogical Residency and Teacher Training', ' Teaching Residency and Teacher Training'. Aiming for a more qualitative analysis, the articles were organized into tables considering the following aspects: a) Authorship; b) Institutional affiliation, c) year of publication d) Temporal and geographic scope of the object of study; e) Thematic focus; f) Theoretical contributions. In this way, systematizing national academic journals with A and B qualifications allowed us to identify some trends in teacher training, the relationship between PRP and supervised internship, rural education and indigenous school education. In addition, the academic production of 22 national dissertations on PRP and five theses found in the database of the Brazilian Library of Dissertations and Theses (BDTD) and the Sucupira Platform from March to June 2023 were cataloged. considering the following aspects: b) Institutional affiliation, c) year of publication d) Temporal and geographic scope of the study object; e) Thematic focus; f) Theoretical contributions; g) Study objects and methodology. In the theses we had a predominance of the southeast and south regions of the country in the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul. We emphasize the importance of state-of-the-art research in contributing to teacher training, by identifying gaps, theoretical predominance and methodological.
