Abstract:
This research has the general objective of analyzing the process of constitution of the pedagogue in the speeches produced in course completion works - TCC's, in the Pedagogy degree, between the years 2010 and 2022 in Brazil, based on the following study question: How do the speeches produced in course completion works - TCCs in the Pedagogy degree constitute the pedagogue man? Its empirical basis is made up of eleven TCCs that take the pedagogue as an object of study. The methodological procedures are qualitative in nature, based on discourse analysis from a Foucauldian perspective. The results achieved show that the constitution of the male pedagogue is organized based on the antagonistic relationship between the presence/absence of the pedagogue in Early Childhood Education and Elementary School classrooms, marked by the feminization of teaching. On the other hand, this constitution is marked by a prejudiced view, of estrangement and maladjustment of the male figure in the role of childhood educator and student of the Pedagogy course. Therefore, in the constitution of this subject, we realize that gender issues in society as an element that crosses the divide between being a man/woman and the predetermination of the occupation of training and professional spaces in accordance with the established social construct, are prominently present.
