Resumo:
In the traffic network the conflict points are
the ones which most show problems. This is because the
continuous supply of flows which cross must be warranted by
a type of control that minimizes the delay, the queue length,
the accidents rates, etc, that appears with the operation of
an intersection.
Accordingly, the purpose of this research is
to make a comparative study between a politic of manual
signals control and another optimized by empiric model
developed by Webster and Cobbe.
In this work were elaborated models of simulation
of signal operations and developed computer programs which
permit to find the best cycle length of any semaphore, by a
simple alteration in the input datas.
