Resumo:
Poultry farming in Brazil is a very significant market for the Brazilian economy. In
the city of Cuité, Granja Santa Clara presents itself as one of the largest companies in the city
and region. The consumption of chicken, chickens and eggs are one of the main foods
consumed. However, there are some problems in industries in general, and one of them is the
number of chickens killed daily, which reaches 40 chickens per day, and currently the main
method used is the composting method, which consists of setting up a suitable space for
decomposition. of the chicken. This currently used, generates several negative effects, health
effects in general, chicken and workers, attracts insects, vultures, contaminates the soil,
among others. To minimize the damage caused by composting, this work aims to develop an
efficient method for incinerating poultry waste from Granja Santa Clara. The work consists of
proposing a method of treating organic and inorganic matter, through incineration, using a
Muffle, analyzing the loss of water masses, parts of dead chickens, in relation to temperature,
and calculating the conversion of samples into ash , also point out the best incineration
temperature range, mineral analysis, by EDX and suggest equipment similar to a muffle
furnace as an incinerator. Therefore, target meat or layer poultry farming companies, mainly
Granja Santa Clara, pointing out this research as a scientific source, so that the work
developed can minimize and/or resolve the difficulties encountered. The research was
developed by UFCG, on the Cuité campus, in partnership with the company Santa Clara,
located in the municipality of Cuité-PB.
