Abstract:
The experiment in vitro was realized to evaluate the action of the etanolical extract of the root of jurubeba (Solanum paniculatum L.) and of the leafs of Melão-de-São-Caetano (Momordica charantia L.) on the eclosion of eggs and the agility of the larvae of gastrointestinal nematodes of goats. The nematode larvae were obtained from larvae culture and the eggs recuperation was done in sieves, from feces of naturally infected goats of the mesoregion of the sertão paraibano. The used extract on the concentrations of 50; 25; 12,5; 6,25 and 3,12 % to both tests and as positive control 0,2 mg.kg2 of moxidectine and to the witness, it was used distilled sterile water. The plates were examined on the optical microscope, to the counting of the eggs in development, after 24h, 48h and 72h of incubation and to the counting of the movable and immovable larvae. In the testes conditions, there S. paniculatum and M. charantia can be a viable alternative to the control of the gastrointestinal nematodes, being necessary future studies to identify the constitution of the root and leafs that was responsible to the anthelmintic activity.
