Resumo:
We are experiencing a phase of technological insertion of a new information retrieval system in an easy and very efficient way: ChatGPT. Given the emergence of this promising tool, there are several cases in which teaching/learning has been shaped considering the possibilities it offers us. In higher education specifically, during the first semesters, the process of adapting to undergraduate teaching becomes a great challenge for many and it is possible that the use of this technology can make this process increasingly easier. As an example, we have intelligent tutoring systems that use AI algorithms to assess student performance and provide personalized and adapted feedback in real time. From this perspective, this work aims to carry out a narrative review of the literature to identify possibilities and challenges in the use of ChatGPT in the teaching and learning process of different areas and disciplines during the Computer Science course and topics related to programming, in general. . To this end, related keywords will be defined in both Portuguese and English, research questions that allow the works found to be cataloged systematically and searches for works in well-known databases such as Google Scholar and ACM. The focus of the study is programming, but more general results will also be considered and related to the desired context. Finally, it is expected that this research will contribute positively to teaching and learning in the area of programming, promoting the responsible and ethical use of the tool.
