Resumo:
The following essay is part of a wider project named “the environment that I
am: a heuristic essay in environmental psychology”. It narrates the constitution of a
process in which thirty one chronicles were produced to foster a discussion in the feld of
environmental psychology. This process, positioned inside a qualitative discussion, tries
to promote or render explicit a dialogue between phenomenon and researcher, between
the heuristic method and environmental psychology. Thus, the text discusses the idea
that it is necessary a process of internal insight to promote the awareness that the human
being is, herself, part of the envorinment, before she can take a theoretical stand vis-à-
vis a phenomenon. This phenomenon – the environment -, before it can be described
impartially, must be understood inside an ethicopolytical framework – that is, as
experience, as position, and then, as subjectivelly informed action.
