Résumé:
This article is a historical analysis on a movement of occurred messianic-millenarian matrix in the
Pernambucano Hinterland, Hinterland of the Moxotó, Buíque, between the period that if extends of the
end of the decade of 1960 of the decade of 1990 and that it had for leader Cícero Jose de Farias,
known in the common sense as My King. As central axle, also it was analyzed the main social aspects
of the community and the region where it is inserted. We look for, concomitantly, to present the
peculiarities of such leader, perceived in its escatologia and its arguments ethical-religious. Of the
theoretical point of view, it stops beyond Geertz in them had been fundamental the workmanships of
Norman Cohn, Ana Paula T. Megiani, Russell Shedd; e Carlos Buenos Ayres. In our understanding, of
the point of view of the Etno History, this it is, without a doubt, a singular movement of (reverse speed)
enchantment of the religiosidade in the dawn of the third millenium, in Brazil and the world. Although

movements contemporaries, as in the case of the movements of the Blue Butterflies Campina Grande,
in the Paraíba, that occurs in the decade of 1980 and as much others that had not only happened in
the Brazil. How ways opt to a study of simple case and we made to converge interpretations of official
documentation, with History Oral and Etnografia. Of what it was argued, we can survey that this is a
movement of long duration, in saying of Braudel, resists when of the antiquity in the apocalyptic track
of the Jewish one the medieval escatologia and absorbing some characters of the great messianic
movements of century XIX.
