PetCare: uma plataforma para o acompanhamento médico de animais domésticos.

Abstract

With the increase in domestic animals in homes and animal protection NGOs, especially during the pandemic, the search for veterinarians and, consequently, clinical examinations for their care has also increased. However, such laboratory results are maintained by the clinics and/or professionals who carry them out, causing a huge problem when the owner or veterinary professionals need the pet's medical history, although they should be carried out patient-oriented, that is, the animal. In this work, we seek to develop a mobile application that allows you to unify the place where this data is stored and facilitate the search and consultation of a pet's medical data. This project produced an application with NodeJS for Backend and React Native for Frontend, as well as detailed diagrams that were used to build the application. At the end of the development, an evaluation was carried out with 10 volunteers regarding the usefulness of its functionalities, where positive results were obtained in the user experience, highlighting the ease of use of the system and usefulness of the implemented functionalities. Feedback was also obtained regarding improvements to the system that were suggested at the end of the evaluation, such as refactoring the exam and surgery registration functionalities to facilitate their use and new functionalities for the system.
