Resumo:
In recent years, a particular form of language use has been evidenced: the Computer Mediated-Communication (CMC), which, receiving external influences from the present context, promotes the creation and use of specific terms, such as slang, which in this virtual environment are, to a large extent, made up of linguistic material derived from other languages, thus materializing foreignism of slang that surround the daily lives of many primary school students and it can contribute to the lexical renewal of Portuguese language. Thus, this monography aimed to analyze social networks slang formed by foreignisms in the interface with lexicon teaching. As specific objectives, we defined: 1) to analyze the slang formed by English language foreignism that circulates on social networks; 2) discuss how the slang promotes the lexicon expansion of our language, Portuguese; and 3) reflect on how the lexicon study can be approached in the classroom, based on the slang identified by the linguistic import process. Our theoretical foundations were based on Sociolinguistics, to think about language and its relationship with society, from authors such as Bortoni-Ricardo (2017; 2004) and Bagno (2017; 2014; 2007), and in Lexicology, about the lexicon and neology, through the ideas of Carvalho (2014), Trask (2011), Neves (2020) and Correia e Almeida (2012). For the dynamics of foreignisms, we used the thoughts of Bechara (2015), Carvalho (2009), and Garcez and Zilles (2004). About slang, we dialogue with Preti (1984; 2000; 2004). Regarding the teaching of the lexicon, we used, most of all, the notions of Antunes (2012), Ferraz (2004) and Sarmento (2019). Methodologically, this research is descriptive-explanatory, with a quantitativequalitative data approach. Its path was traced through slang collection on the social networks Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Twitter, followed by the application of an online questionnaire, through which we arrived at the most used slang with data about interactional aspects of this use, to analyze the slang foreignisms in their meanings, historical data, creation, structure, use and other classifications indicated by Carvalho (2009), while we carry out a discussion on the lexical expansion through the slang, we reflect on the teaching of the lexicon. The results of this monography confirm the potentiality of lexical expansion by the slang foreignism that circulates in social networks, and these items show a diversity of meanings and uses, as well as formation states and structural aspects. These imports are, in their entirety, lexical, demonstrating, on the one hand, standardization of social behaviors and, on the other, the attribution of specific features of Portuguese speakers to foreign words, whether by adaptation or by the specification of meanings and uses. We propose, with these analyzes and the theory about teaching, reflections on the approach of the lexicon in Portuguese language (PL) classes, anchored in the practice of linguistic analysis (LA), aiming to think about productive works regarding slang foreignism. Thus, we demonstrate the importance of these items in virtual interaction and their productivity in the teaching of PL and the lexicon expansion.
