Resumo:
This paper addresses the teaching of Sociology in basic education, primary education and elementary education, proposes the use of music as a methodology to promote greater participation and interest from students during classroom discussions. The research included a pedagogical intervention at the State School Francisco Apolinário da Silva, where music was adopted as a didactic resource. The results demonstrated that this approach sparked curiosity and engagement among the students, fostering the development of critical, analytical, and problemsolving skills. Furthermore, the use of music facilitated the development of social skills and strengthened sociability through group activities. It is concluded that music is an effective pedagogical strategy to enrich the teaching of Sociology and other disciplines, providing a more dynamic and appealing approach for the students.
