Resumo:
The present work aims to explain the use of new technologies in educational environments in the discipline of Geography, as well as their uses as pedagogical resources and the challenges for their use in the traditional teaching model. The study questions whether there should be a relationship between students, teachers and teaching institutions, in terms of the more appropriate use of new technologies in learning, noting that technological approaches are fundamental for a good development and improvement of the quality of education. In view of this, this article presents the Mapbiomas platform as a model, explaining its importance and the benefits of its use for teaching in the discipline of Geography, exactly through the qualitative methodology
