This work analyzes the construction of geographic knowledge, based on theatrical language as a proposal for a didactic resource. Geography has been going through moments of change in its practice in the face of new active methodologies, in which it has emerged, and it is from this perspective that this work aims to approach theater as an instrument of knowledge through the production of pedagogical plays in the teaching of geography. Because, bringing theory closer to practice is challenging, for this reason a study is carried out based on the concept of place, aligned with the student's experiences. As a methodological path, bibliographical research was carried out. It is concluded that the recurrent practice of traditional teaching is aimed at memorizing and memorizing content, therefore, there is a lack of incentive and access to the use of tools that provide the expansion of knowledge and geographical ideas in the classroom, making it necessary to rethink the practice of teaching. teach geography.
