Resumo:
The Restinga ecosystem is of great ecological importance for the coastal biota, since its vegetation is extremely diverse, having in its composition species from the Atlantic Forest, Caatinga, Cerrado and Amazon, in addition to being a habitat for birds, crustaceans and small mammals. Furthermore, it provides an ecosystem service of protecting the coast, preventing coastal erosion and maritime advances. The Restinga ecosystem is present in a non-continuous way along the 133 km long coast of the state, thus, the main objective of this research is to establish the energy signature of the Restingas in the state of Paraíba, seeking to identify the environmental, physical and chemical conditions that influence this ecosystem, in addition to pointing out possible suppression factors. Data was collected from secondary sources, including scientific articles, official websites and mapping platforms and corroborated in the field. As a result, we observe vegetation characterized by herbaceous-shrub growth, with zonation patterns in response to environmental conditions of soil, climate, topography and other environmental variables.
