Resumo:
Given the repetitiveness with which satellite images are acquired, it is possible to
recognize changes in the landscape of a region in a given period of time by analyzing
the extent and type of changes in use. The objective was to statistically evaluate,
through descriptive analysis and regression, temporal data on the coverage and use
of land in the municipality of Patos-PB obtained by MapBiomas© using a series of
36 years between 1985 and 2020. The statistical treatment was directed to the
application of the analyzes of the data using the XLSTAT© Trial. The use of the
MapBiomas web application as a tool to analyze the use and land cover provided
satisfactory results quickly and accurately. It was observed that there were
significant changes in area in the Non-Forest and Agricultural Natural Formation
classes, where the greatest deviations occurred. The distribution was not
symmetrical, kurtosis indicated a platykurtic distribution, where the greatest
variations in amplitude and irregular distribution were in the Non-Forest and
Agricultural Natural Formation classes. It could be said that there is agreement
between the tests used in this work and the accuracy analysis performed on the
images by Mapbiomas.
