Resumo:
Socio-environmental responsibility aims to create a harmonious relationship between society and the company, it will provide the means for society to develop, be it in social aspects as such, in environmental aspects and even in economic terms. However, despite legislative charges, pressure from society, government incentives, needs and preferences of the public and suppliers, it is also perceived that many companies are reluctant or unaware of the existing management systems, in addition to disregarding the importance of the tripod (economy, environment and society) that involves the whole system, that is, despite the search for economic growth that every organization aims to achieve, they disregard that there is also the social question, and especially the environmental one. In this perspective, this research aimed to evaluate the Socio-environmental Responsibility of footwear industries in the CRAJUBAR conurbation, specifically in the sector of injected soles. The methodology was based on qualitative / quantitative tools based on exploratory analysis and semistructured questionnaire application in the companies in the sector under study. Subsequently a Social-Environmental Responsibility Index (IRSA) was constructed, which made it possible to identify that the companies in the sector presented an intermediate level of socio-environmental responsibility, that is to say that among the analyzed dimensions the sector has much to advance, mainly in environmental preservation and development human.
