Resumen:
This work is the result of a report of my experience as a History undergraduate and as an active participant in Hip Hop culture in Campina Grande between 2017 and 2023. Through this work, I seek to analyze the use of rap as a method of teaching History in the classroom through my experience with the Hip Hop nas Escolas project - a project created by Batalha do Prado - and my internship experience at Escola Cidadã Integral Solon de Lucena in Campina Grande. The Batalha do Prado project aims to promote Hip Hop culture within schools and work on black representation through music. To carry out this work, bibliographic research and a qualitative approach were used to understand the research process and discussion of the class on black representation and the History of black people through rap lyrics, in which the authors Paulo Freire (1968), Silvio Almeida (2019) and Roberto Carmagos (2015) were used.
