Resumen:
This study sought to investigate the role of women in the Evangelical Congregational Church of Campina Grande between 1920 and 1970, perceiving how female memory was cons-tructed based on the documentation in the institution's private collection. After presenting the History of Congregationalism, we briefly discussed the construction of the collection of the Evangelical Congregational Church of Campina Grande and its storage and conservation process. We explored authors such as Bacellar (2008) and Castro (2008) to study the memory of this space. Regarding the memory of these women, we used the concept of collective memory and reference group by Maurice Halbwachs (1990), and strong memory and weak memory by Jöel Candau (2012).
