O programa Bolsa Família no município de Sousa- PB: algumas análises.

Abstract

The present work of Course Completion has as central focus the analysis of the Bolsa Família Program in the reduction of poverty in Sousa-PB. This is an exploratory and bibliographical research, whose subjects corresponded to two professionals who make up the multiprofessional team that works in CRAS I of the mentioned municipality. Data collection was done through the application of a structured questionnaire. The theoretical discussion was referenced in authors who discuss the subject matter here. To do so, initially, a brief historical retrospective of Social Assistance in Brazil was carried out. Subsequently, we sought to discuss the creation of the Bolsa Família Program, emphasizing its conditionalities and impacts on Brazilian society, in order to be the second largest income transfer program in the country. Helping to minimize the poverty and hunger of the families that are affected by it. It is true that this is a welfare and compensatory program of needs, but it makes a great difference in the socioeconomic situation of the families that can count on the benefit provided by the program.
