Resumo:
The present monographic work is about the adoption by homoaffective couples and the difficulties that are linked to this process through a bibliographical research. The study aims to discuss the real conditions that homosexual couples have to care for a child as much as heterosexual couples. For this, the history of the homoaffective family, as well as of the traditional families, was exposed here, as well as showing how the juridical development of the adoption took place. We have also brought together the main difficult judicial and societal issues that hang around this issue, analyzing arguments and seeking to discuss them. Faced with the final considerations, it is worth mentioning that there is still much to discuss about this issue, because there is still time to abandon the prejudices rooted in our society and change this situation for the better.
