Resumen:
This Course Conclusion Study analyzes the Student Assistance Policy in the context of university counterreformation at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), Campus Cajazeiras / PB. We seek to identify how the university counter-reform affects the policy of student assistance and students regarding the permanence and completion of courses in regular time. The theme arose based on the concerns arising from supervised internship experience in the student assistance sector of the institution. The research carried out is of a qualitative nature, with bibliographical review of several authors that discuss the subject in question, with documentary research and field research. The method used in the investigative process and the data exposure was the dialectical critic, because it is understood that it allows us to apprehend the studied object in a perspective of totality. The data collection was done through a semistructured questionnaire carried out with the students inserted in the Program of Assistance to Undergraduate Education. The results of the research confirm that, although it contributes to the permanence of students in undergraduate courses, the Program for Teaching Undergraduate Teaching presents shortcomings that cause students' disadvantages, since it is not enough to guarantee the completion of the courses, given that it is provided in a minimal way, in opposition to what is established by the National Program of Student Assistance (PNAES), thus evidencing the scrapping and precarization of the student assistance policy, in the scenario of counter-reform of higher education.
