Resumo:
The present work of conclusion of course, presents some theoretical – methodological nature reflections about Student Assistance and the dimensions of professional practice of Social Service in Student politics of the Science Center in Juridical and Social SHAH/PB. The choice of subject reference the probationary period experienced in the said institution. Experience is that has guided a critical thinking – Professional Service practice dialectical Social front of the operationalization of the Student Assistance. And the relevance of this discussion to and understanding of the social and historical debate, for understanding be historical materialism dialectic best for seizure of social reality in its multiple determinations, leaving aside the immediacy, in its analysis of the understanding of Social worker while one of the main executors of policy formulators and student assistance. Consider revising also that these reflections will contribute to a greater visibility of Student Assistance, and the unveiling embedded in precariousness and selectivity of the programs offered by the policy in the face of neoliberal reforms and the disengagement of the State, as well as the challenges, limits and possibilities of this Social Service Professional in the mediation of Student Assistance while, social policy of law on guarantee of admission , permanence and graduate school completion.
