Saúde mental infantil e interdisciplinaridade: Percepções a partir do trabalho em equipe no Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Infanto Juvenil João Paulo II em Sousa/PB.

Abstract

The mental health of children has passed through many struggles until it has consolidated itself as a public social policy. The history of child care and "madness" is needed to understand how much the child and mental health has been repressed and stigmatized by the state and society. Resorting to the struggle of the Psychiatric Reform Movement, today, we have a network of psychosocial care, which prizes, above all, for interdisciplinarity in the CAPSi. However, this interdisciplinary action by the multiprofessional team, has been facing challenges to its effectiveness. The purpose of this research is to analyze the interdisciplinary work in the Center for Psychosocial Care of Infanto Juvenil João Paulo II, in the city of Sousa / PB. The debate about interdisciplinarity, with a focus on children's mental health, is recent and scarce, making it necessary to build actions that overcome challenges present in the professional performance within these institutions, as well as contribute to the strengthening of the services offered. A qualitative bibliographical research was developed, and the method used in the field research was content analysis, based on semi-structured interviews with four professionals from different areas in the respective institution. The data were collected in five categories of analysis: Institution, case follow-up, precariousness, work and network and interdisciplinarity. The results of this research proved the debate raised during the discussion of the work, showing what the challenges are to the interdisciplinary action and how important it is for the strengthening of services. It is complemented that, this work is under construction, since there is a continuous search for the effectiveness of the brazilian mental health.
