Resumo:
The conceptions of nature vary from person to person, as well as what individuals unders-tand about environmental education. The objective of this monograph is to present the conceptions of nature and what is environmental education and its representation from the perspective of high school students at ECIT Prof. Raul Córdula, which is located in the urban area of the municipality of Campina Grande, in the neighborhood of Presidente Médici, a medium-sized city in the interior of Paraíba. From the contact with the high school classroom, I could see that the theme of environmental education is very absent within the school curriculum, even if some teachers try to introduce the theme in some way in disciplines such as Sociology, Geography, Biology, among others. . 1 (one) questionnaire with 14 (fourteen) questions was applied. 3 (three) initial questions, where the first was the collaboration in declaring and taking responsibility for the answer, and 2 (two) introductory questions, containing their gender and the grade they are attending. The application took place in the following grades, 1st year (three classes); 2nd year (two classes) and 3rd year (one class), obtaining 105 (one hundred and five) responses in total. The survey results highlight that it is possible to highlight that there is interest from students in deepening their knowledge on environmental issues, even though they do not have access to many environmental education contents in their school trajectories. Different experiences and perceptions of nature verified among students can be a challenge, but also an opportunity for the dynamization of environmental education content among them.
