Lourdes Ramalho e a utopia em Anjos de Caramelada.

Abstract

This article aims to present the results of a study based on a bibliographic review on the aesthetic strategy of utopia undertaken in Lourdes Ramalho's dramaturgy, with emphasis on the repertoire intended for children and youth produced from the 2000s onwards. Critical studies on utopia, discussed by Andrade (2011), Ayala (1997) and Pavis (2015), help to conceive that Ramalhian utopianisms formalized in his utopian theatrical texts point to a questioning of female and male gender identities in contexts of inequality in dystopian societies governed by extreme patriarchal values. The theatrical text Anjos de Caramelada (RAMALHO, 2008), discussed here, raises a critique of the roles of authority unevenly distributed between women and men, given that the world in which women are subordinated is converted into another, ideal, in which women are sovereign figures over men. The work helps to reflect on gender relations in contemporary times, a perspective that Lourdes Ramalho expresses through critical and creative plots that lead the reader(s)-spectator(s) to dream of the utopian future of gender equality in dystopian times.
