Prática docente nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental em tempos de pandemia: desafios e impactos enfrentados.

Abstract

The pandemic resulted in several changes in the world, such as the ways of socializing, working, studying and living in society. Considering these changes, it is possible to observe that the way of teaching has also changed. In this way, schools were faced with the great challenge of providing quality and equitable learning for their students. This monograph has the problem situation: what consequences and challenges are faced by teachers who work in the Initial Years of Elementary School in pandemic times? It was developed the general objective to answer this question: Analyze the impact and challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on the teaching and learning processes of children in the Early Years, from the perspective of teachers. For the specific objectives: identify the challenges that teachers faced when teaching; reflect about the consequences of remote teaching for the teaching and learning process of children and understand the changes that occurred through the remote teaching process. This research was carried out in two public schools belonging to the city of Cajazeiras/PB. It was carried out an interview with six questions elaborated regarding the research topic with two teachers who worked in the first year of the Initial Years of Elementary School during the pandemic period. For better discussion and observation on the topic, based on authors such as: Freitas (2021), Machado (2022), Martins (2021), Mendes (2020), Palú (2020), among others. It was used content analysis in the thematic modality to analyze the information collected. It was realized throughout the research that the teacher plays a fundamental role in the student's learning process, regardless of the context they are experiencing. It was observed that the results varied according to each teacher and based on the intensity of the impacts caused by the methods used, considering technological resources and remote teaching, but even so, the teachers obtained satisfactory results in the teaching and learning process in such times as dark as Covid-19 was on the world stage.
