Résumé:
The research addresses an analysis about the mental illness, its history, challenges and concerns. Thus, sinalizaremos the importance of family in this context, identifying the perception of the same on the care of the person living with mental disorders, family acceptance process with the user, analyzing the meanings and experiences of intra-family psychological distress. In view of the difficulties that these people meet to socialize amidst a historical context established and followed to the present day in a stigmatized way, seek to understand the circumstances in which it was founded, and the causes which do perpetuate to this day after so many advances on the subject. The methodology used was bibliographic research of authors who directed his studies on this subject, but also by logoterapêuticas approaches of Viktor Frankl.
