Resumo:
The purpose of this work is to analyze the performance of night shift students, in the EJA (Youth and Adult Education) modality, specifically, the conditions of access and permanence in the school environment. In the midst of the route outlined, we analyzed some points regarding the functionality of the institution (Escola Clementino Procópio), located in Campina Grande-PB, in the São José neighborhood. The research continued in the time period between the years 2023/2024, based on the monitoring of Sociology classes, admi-nistration of a questionnaire and conversations with students, before and after classes. The integration of students into the social field and the job market will be constantly analyzed throughout their work. We will discuss concepts such as symbolic violence, young people's life courses and aspects related to access to education, focusing on the reality of women and possible departures from the school environment. To do this, we seek to analyze a little about the students' routine in general, and how they balance their lives with the school environment.
