A particularidade da problemática da violência contra a pessoa idosa no centro de referência especializado de assistência social do município de Sousa.

Abstract

Violence against the elderly is not a new phenomenon in society. This is a problem that occurs from the ancient times and has become familiar in the daily lives of diverse societies. The issue of domestic violence against the elderly has expanded and suggests the need for greater research field in this area. In this sense the research is to analyze the data of violence and abuse within the family against the elderly evidenced by data from CREAS / Sousa-PB, officialized in denunciations of violence against the elderly. Data collection occurred during the months of November and December of 2014. Just as we sought to analyze the attention of this institution in the fight against this social problem. It is noticed that hardly changed the guarantees to the elderly, since public policies are still far from providing your real goal. It is intended specifically an approach about the types of violence against the elderly, forms of violence, the offender profile, socioeconomic profile of the elderly family and the work done by CREAS to face this. Versou is a study with qualitative methodology carried out through documentary and bibliographical study, which analyzed medical records of victims of violence recorded in CREAS / Sousa, aiming to montrar the reality experienced by Sousense community and their care in the institution. The CREAS is the state public unit of local or regional scope whose role be in ló- cus for reference in the territories, the provision of specialized social work in ITS to families and individuals in personal or social risk, by violation of rights. At the end of the desk study it was found that the predominant profile of the perpetrators are male, the gender of the victims, most were female and the predominant type of violence was piscológicas aggression type abandonment and neglect, as well as financial violence.
