Abstract:
This paper analyzes the family and state support for the / the students entered / in the Residence of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), campus Cajazeiras / PB. In this sense, we seek to identify the main problems experienced by students and their implications in the event of both support the negligence (family and the state). The interest in the area came from the Internship Required, held at the Student Assistance sector of the institution addressed. The research was the qualitative study, exploratory. The subjects corresponded to students male and female. The sampling was not random probability intentional, applied with a total of ten students. Data collection was processed through semi-structured questionnaires consisting of questions regarding socio-demographic factors and factors related to the university residents. The method used is of Marxist nature because we consider able to understand the dynamics of the analyzed reality. Thus, we believe that the family is important to provide emotional support to the resident, and the state should provide the necessary financial support for the permanence of / the students in higher education by completing the course. But undoubtedly the family duty to provide support to your loved, should overlap the state responsibility to society in all execution of public policy spheres. However, this apparatus is weak because it does not satisfactorily meet the demands presented to them by the user population, in the specific case of our research, the / the students who are part / in the student assistance.
