A mediação como forma extrajudicial de solução dos conflitos no regime democrático: estudo na capital paraibana

Abstract

The initial proposal of the research was the investigation of mediation as a form of of conflict resolution in the democratic regime, examining the existing crisis in the model of jurisdictional provision and questioning whether the mediating process contributes to the improvement of the Rule of Law in the capital of Paraíba. In the process of scientific investigation, theoretical methods were used that enabled the formulation of hypotheses, and empirical methods used in the field research, complementing the results of the scientific investigation. After the bibliographic analysis of the subject, aware of the critical situation of the State's jurisdictional provision of not being able to satisfactorily meet the expectations of those who resort to it, it was imagined that mediation could really contribute to alleviate the Judiciary because it can be used to settle conflicts in various areas, as well as to meet the expectations of citizens in conflict. However, with
