Resumo:
In the Brazilian educational sector, education is a right for everyone and a duty for the State
and families, making it a fruitful field for co-production, a collaborative strategy in which the
service can be produced jointly between users, citizens and public servants. It is understood that
co-production in education lacks advances and understanding about what it generates, and who
and how participates. In this sense, the objective of this dissertation was to understand the
effects of coproduction in the public educational service in light of its phases and levels.
Breaking down into three articles. The first was dedicated to proposing a theoretical framework
about the effects of coproduction on education; the second analyzed the effects of coproduction
in the public educational service; and the third aimed to relate effects, types and levels of co
production in the public educational service. Qualitative research was developed, starting with
a Systematic Literature Review, followed by field research in two public schools in Paraíba,
using documentary research, interviews, observations and content analysis. As main results, the
Framework of the Effects of Coproduction in Education was developed. From this, the effects
that they generated were mapped in the schools analyzed, noting that the category of potential
effects desirable to students was manifested more frequently, as well as, subsequently, also
when relating the table of effects with the phases and types of co-production, it was seen that
this effect manifested itself collectively, group and individually. In this way, the study provided
theoretical and practical contributions to the understanding and implementation of co
production in the public educational service.
