dc.description.resumo	Os primeiros testes de campo com uma colhedora auto-motris, especialmente desenvolvida para a colheita do café, resultado de um projeto desenvolvido por Máquinas Agrícolas Jacto S.A são apresentados. Testes utilizando-se a produção no ano consecutivo à colheita, mostrou que não houve influencia sobre a cultura quando comparada com a colheita manual convencional. Os dados infringi dos pela colheita mecânica, avaliados pela quebra de ramos apos a passagem da máquina, são comparados à colheita manual, mostrando-se da mesma ordem de grandeza. A eficiência da colhedora medida nas épocas favoráveis de colheita, mostrou-se em média da ordem de 94%. Uma breve descrição da cronologia do Projeto e evolução dos Protótipos desde 1973 a 1979 é dada, bem como o funcionamento básico da colhedora. São feitas ainda algumas observações de caráter operacional.	pt_BR

dc.description.abstract	The first field tests with a self-propelled harvester speccially designed for cofferr harvester are presented. The ma chine is the result of a development project by Máquinas Agrico_ las Jacto S.A. Using the usual manual harvest as a reference and the next year crop yield as an indicator tests shown that no influen ce in the plantation is expected due to the machine use. The injury to the plant caused by the mechanical practi ce, using broken branches as indicator, compared with manual har vest shown no significant difference. Harvesting efficiency mesured during the favourable har vesting period gave values of the order of 94%. A brief description of the machine functioning anã also about the Project evolution from 1973 till 1979 is given. It is also given some information on the machine capability and needs for field use.	pt_BR
