Resumen:
Sugar cane is oultivated in a large área extends and expe_
riments actually a continous expansion, tends to be an impor
tant market for the Brasilian agricultuval aviation industry.Aga
viation was first introduoed in the season 1975/76 in an area
of 10.000 ha and the aerial application of fertilizers at São Jo
sé Sugar Mill, in Macatuba, State of São Paulo, was considered
both agronomioally effiaient and economioally viable. In the sea
son 1978/79, only in the region of Lençóis Paulista (State of
São Paulo), more than 140.000 ha were fertilized by ais, the to
tal aost being approximately 22 millions of cruzeiros (roughly
half nrillin dollars).
Application to corret Nitrogen were made with urea appli
ed from 50 to 70 kilos per hectare. Corrections for Potash have
been made with potash chloride at the dosages of 70 to 100 kilos
per hectare. For multiple corrections,mixtures are formulated
of both fertilizers in accordance with the demands. bue to the
difficulties to furnish Phosphorus by ground applications this
correction is made by foliar application with the liquid fertili
zer formulations 10-08-08 and 12-10-08.
Applications timing is guided by the diagnosis made by
the Foliar Analysis Laboratory, the diagnosis and recomendations
are made by a team of experts.
The application of fertilizers both granular and liquids
are madeby following basical parameters established for the cheriri
cais and for the different dosages. These parameters compose
the APPLICATIONS SYSTEMS, developed by AVAL - Aviação Agrícola
Lençóis Ltda. Application of solid fertilizers are made accor
ding with the Systems AV-S-70 and AV-S-100 and of liquid fertili_
zers according with the System AV-M-50.
