Résumé:
The research that led to this work was developed in a section of 10.0 km, of a total of 19.8
km, the new doubled track of the segment, then in works of restoration and duplication of BR-
232/PE between the cities of Caruaru and São Caetano, Pernambuco.
The work in its entirety, was executed in the period between early 2006 and late 2007 and
throughout the development of the services were performed research in the new pavement of
the duplicated track, once it had been completed. Thus, besides the traditional tests of physical
characterization of the materials of the last layer of earth and structure of the pavement, were
also made dynamic triaxial test of granular layers, the fatigue tests, traction strength and
diameter compression of the asphalt layers and a deflectometer campaingn along the studied
segment.
Through the application of softwares FEPAVE 2 and RETRAN5-L, it was obtained
indicators, under the mechanistic view of the current performance of the pavement and the
expectation of its future behavior, to attend a traffic whose weighing research of axles of the
region were also analyzed in this work in order to better characterize the application of loads
to the pavement.
Additionally, conditions were created for further evaluation of the behavior of two different
basis used in the studied segment , the one consisted of Simple Graded Gravel - SGG and
consisted of Hydraulic Macadam - HM.
