Event tourism has proven to be a promising activity, showing great growth in recent years
and providing development and job creation. Considering the increase in competitiveness and
new market demands, the quality of services provided becomes fundamental for increasing
tourist satisfaction and loyalty, where the diagnosis of tourist perception regarding perceived
quality needs to be included in the activities carried out by the various enterprises. The
general objective of this dissertation project is to analyze the quality perceived by visitors to
Maior São João do Mundo- PB through Tourqual and diagnose the perceptions about
sustainability adopted at the event. For the development of the research, in the first article
bibliometric studies were carried out in which the literature on the quality of services in event
tourism was explored in depth, mapping scientific performance. The second article seeks to
understand the perception of tourists in the year 2022, in relation to the quality of services in
the largest São João in the world, where the model is applied, which used an online survey as
a research instrument. The third article analyzes tourists' perceptions about the quality of
services and sustainability in the Greater São João in the World in 2023, identifying the main
points that need to be improved to increase the level of visitor satisfaction. The study
provides the creation of a theoretical portfolio, as well as proposing the application of a
model for evaluating the quality of services in a tourist event. The results reveal the growing
trend of research in the area, bringing contributions to both research and practice, and can
serve as guidance for event managers and other actors involved.
