Abstract:
The present study has as its theme the solidarity economy and family farming, more specifically a case study in a cooperative of rural producers in the cariri of Paraíba and its link to the social insertion of employees. The general objective is to evaluate how the Solidarity Economy and family farming can be an alternative to the problem of unemployment and social inclusion for the cooperative members. This research is characterized as a descriptive, exploratory, qualitative study with the use of bibliographic research, through a case study, with the application of interviews to the cooperative members. As a result, the cooperative plays a fundamental role in local development and in the lives of the people involved. The social and economic gains resulting from the operation of the cooperative are vast and wide- ranging, ranging from increased income and employment to strengthening social ties and improving quality of life.Therefore, it is concluded that it is up to the municipal public management, the development agencies and the employees of the CapriBom cooperative, to offer more specific training for members, as well as to seek more partnerships with other local organizations, hire a company to do marketing on social networks to promote their products.
