Resumo:
Upon entering university, many students are unaware of the multiple professional fields linked to their course, the complementary hours that must be completed, and the relevance of the subjects offered. Currently, in the Computer Science program at UFCG, even though some of these questions are available on the course's official portals and can be reached through dialogue, they are still not presented in a simple and centralized manner. This context is problematic for several reasons, among them the disparity in knowledge between individuals, the ease of spreading incorrect statements, and the consequent poor curriculum planning. To help mitigate this scenario of information deficit, this paper proposes a web system that presents professional areas according to the subjects offered in the course, interacts with students to provide individual information on complementary hours and elective subjects, and offers a collaborative and healthy environment for comments about the subjects. The system's results in use reflect high satisfaction with the ease of performing tasks and the application's intended purpose. However, they indicate that communication with the user can be better established and that additional features are desired in the system.
