Résumé:
In the face of the dynamic technological evolution that permeates our contemporary society, the intersection of innovation and security has become a fertile ground for the discussion of pressing topics, such as facial recognition. This technological advancement, notable for its ability to identify and authenticate individuals through unique facial features, has garnered considerable attention from both academia and the general public, becoming a topic of interest in discussions on privacy, security, and effectiveness. In this context of extensive debate, the objective of the present work is the development of a mobile system for attendance management based on facial recognition. The study addresses the technical aspects of design and strategies, including algorithm selection and system architecture. Specifically, the facial authentication model will be constructed from medium-quality photos captured by a conventional front-facing camera. Additionally, a mobile application will be developed to utilize this model for managing classroom attendance. The research will contribute insights into the technical and ethical dimensions of integrating facial recognition for attendance recording, providing guidance for future implementations in this field.
