Resumo:
The study developed here aims to present an experience report lived by students of the Specialization course in Teaching Natural Sciences and Mathematics for coexistence with the Semiarid, in which we will highlight the importance of the Caatinga, its characteristic fauna and flora, discussing means of preservation, and main problems faced, thus rescuing their use and preservation. The Caatinga represents one of the Brazilian biomes most altered by human action, which has a poor dissemination of technical-scientific knowledge about it. Based on this principle, this work aimed to assess the perceptions that the 7th year C class of Elementary School II has about the Caatinga Biome and, based on the preliminary results, use an innovative didactic strategy as a tool to stimulate the development of their search skills. through autonomous learning. The practical activity was developed with the aim of raising reflections and discussions about the importance of the Caatinga in the Semi-Arid region, promoting the construction of knowledge based on activities contextualized to the students' daily reality. Therefore, the present study seeks to encourage the use of active methodologies that stimulate critical thinking in students.
