Résumé:
The use of care-educational technologies makes it possible to address specific
and comprehensive content capable of contributing to the knowledge of elderly people,
a growing and current proportion on the world stage. To achieve this, technologies such
as podcasts allow the transmission of information in an efficient and comprehensive
way, benefiting not only the elderly, but the entire population. The aim is to build an
educational podcast as a tool to prevent the occurrence of falls in elderly people.
Methodological study with a mixed approach, with the goal of building an educational
technology, podcast, to be developed based on the Practical Model Methodological
Framework for Technology Development (MPDT), through operationalization in two
stages: development of interactive workshops, aimed at raising awareness of elderly
people about the use of technology and holding workshops to capture experiences of
falls, promoting the exchange of ideas, beliefs and preventive practices against this
occurrence. In the second stage, the script for conducting the podcast was developed
based on written elements to guide the dialogue and presentation of ideas. The
development of this podcast is a tool for promoting the health of the elderly, as it offers
accessible and instrumentally valuable information for preventing falls. As a resource
freely available online and in the most engaging format, it can have a positive effect on
the lives of a vulnerable population, helping to incite behavioral changes and improve
quality of life.
