Resumo:
This study aims to investigate the impact of technology use on History teaching in Youth
and Adult Education (EJA) in cycles IV and V at the Escola Cidadã Integral (ECI) Bonifácio
Saraiva de Moura, in Monte Horebe-PB, seeking to understand how these pedagogical
tools can contribute to improving the educational process. Motivated by observing how
traditional methodologies are still present in EJA history teaching and intending to
contribute to changes in this reality, this study is supported by renowned authors who
discuss the integration of digital technologies as a facilitating methodological resource for
teaching and learning. To achieve the intended objectives, a bibliographic research and a
case study were conducted to obtain real and concrete data from the actual context. The
results indicate that Youth and Adult Education students have a specific profile generally
associated with work, family, and needs different from regular students. Therefore, the use
of active methodologies through technologies is effective in stimulating and including these
individuals in the world of information and contemporary life. It was also found that these
resources favor the practice of teaching and the instruction of history, and despite the
challenges faced, they can be considered necessary allies for constructivist teaching,
where the main character is the student, with their memories and history.
