Abstract:
The use of waveguides with a cross-section different from those of rectangular and cylindrical sections is not widespread, mainly due to mathematical difficulties
to obtain exact solutions. The work consists in obtaining the exact solution, using only Maxwell's equations, of a coaxial guide whose inner and outer cylinders are connected along their entire length by a sheet of conductive material. Cut-off wavelength, passband, transmission power capacity, peak peak power, loss power and attenuation coefficient are determined. The work aims to serve as a comparative element in the application of non-exact methods for symmetric and asymmetric lunar guides.
