Resumen:
This research is a study of field themes in the context of school Geography. In view of this,
the research seeks to understand the process of formation of the agrarian space in Brazil, with
the aim of understanding how the bases that support agribusiness in Brazil are rooted in
society since the colonization process, then brings an analysis of the contents agricultural
topics in textbooks and the possibilities for teaching rural themes. In this sense, this work's
main objective is to understand how the ideology of agribusiness is present in society. To
achieve the objectives of the work, we sought to investigate the pillars that support
agribusiness in society, investigating different concepts and theories on the subject, we
analyzed how agrarian themes were present in the collection of books “inside geography”
from Saraiva publishers and we constructed five didactic sequences with the themes present in
the books analyzed. The methodology applied is bibliographical research with a qualitative
approach, also in a documentary form with the analysis of documents that govern textbook
policies. The research took place between January and June 2024, supported by authors such
as: Bezerra (2009); Canuto (2004, 2009); Camacho (2014); Freire (2016); Moreira (2011);
Silva (2018), among many others.
