Abstract

This work consists of a literature review on optical and photonic components with sensing applications. It will investigate the application of resonance rings in biosensors, as well as the use of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) in the sensing of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which could have applications in electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
